This past weekend we headed to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre to the Chinese Lantern Festival. If you are in the Raleigh area, it’s certainly a must see!
The festival includes more than 20 intricate displays, each one comprised with hundreds of parts and thousands of LED lights. The craftmanship of the lanterns is superb, they really are stunning. Additionally, there is a variety show including Chinese dance, juggling, and martial arts shows, where my kids were wowed. My 6-year-old kept cheering “Bravo! Bravo!” for each set.
I did not take photos of all the displays- there were so many! Below is just a sampling, but there was also a palace, a sea world, jungles, and animals from the Chinese Zodiac.
